Name/TitlePostcard: Detail of Field Trips
About this objectPostcard from 39th EVA International, Phase 1: 18 Sept-15 Nov 2020, captioned Laura Fitzgerald, Detail of 'Field Trips (My heavens says Grandad as he takes a bite of Fry's chocolate cream)', 2020.
Fantasy Farming is an installation of artworks that continue the artist’s interests in the tensions and insecurities that emerge between the rural Irish life of the artist’s own family background, and the personal and professional desires of a networked international art world. Fantasy Farming includes two large-scale ‘hay shed’ enclosures that are accompanied by a two-way audio that features the artist’s own meandering commentary and self-doubting observation that guides viewers through the drawing works displayed on the perimeter walls.
