Subject and Association Descriptionhttps://www.sheffieldsteelrollerderby.co.uk:
We are Sheffield’s first and highest ranked women’s flat track roller derby league, forged by Jane Doe-a-Go-Go in 2008. Since then we’ve gone from a tiny local team to a league competing at national level. In June 2013 we were accepted as full members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), following completion of the Apprentice Program. We are also members of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA), and are proud to promote the growth of the sport locally, nationally and internationally. Our new skater training programme is open to all self-identifying women over the age of 18, and we have opportunities for everyone to get involved. We also have a junior league for everyone aged 8-17.
http://www.middlesbroughrollerderby.co.uk:
Established in 2007 as Middlesbrough Milk Rollers, Middlesbrough Roller Derby is Teesside’s first roller derby league. In the last decade the Travel Team has gone from strength to strength, climbing up the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) rankings each year. Middlesbrough Roller Derby brings together a group of determined and passionate skaters who are proof that small movements/places can achieve great things. The team and its members are dedicated to the development of the sport, the league and our players to reach a common goal; promotion of real competitive sport at a local, national and international level. Team spirit is the driving force of our competitive nature as members work hard to achieve their goals and spur on the league. We strive to be the best. We bring out the best in our members by nurturing talent and being inclusive. We work hard. We are competitive. We are proud of our achievements and our heritage.
