[Empire Series] London postcard no. 3068 depicting a woman with a bright red nose, dressed in shabby clothing and carrying a package, walking along an equally shabby street towards a Pawnbrokers. The caption reads: 'SOCIETY NOTE. Lady de Broke has left the Court on a short visit to her uncle, Lord Poppem.' Signed by Jack Meredith. Various notations have been added (see inscriptions field).
