Subject and Association Descriptionhttps://kuir.org/translating-kuir-publication:
TRANSLATING QUEER / KUIR is a research, reflection and creation project on the different translation processes involved in the exchange, production and circulation of Kuir / Queer arts. As part of the reserach, a series of workshops and conversations were delivered in 2021 with guest provocateurs: artists, philosophers and thinkers. The project resulted in a trilingual publication that captures the key insights and questions that emerged through cross-cultural conversations with the participation of queer art provocateurs, artists, thinkers and producers from around the world. The material, written by Argentinian journalist and writer Liliana Viola based on her participation in the meetings, is far from bringing answers or conclusions, on the contrary, it offers us new questions, restlessness and destabilizations – potential raw material for our future creative processes.
