Subject and Association DescriptionThanks to Dr Nina Baker for sharing the following details:
"The Women Drivers’ Association (WDA), for which the only press mention I have found, from 1973, gives an address (but no official’s name) in Ewhurst, Surrey, and no further information whatsoever. (Liverpool Echo) Given this lack of online information it is curious that there are many numbered WDA radiator badges of modern appearance for sale online, so there must have been a good number of members to even justify getting those made, as the one in my collection is number 2590 and higher numbered ones are for sale. It was in any case dissolved in 1978. (London Gazette)"
