Name/TitleMagazine: Woman's Magazine
About this objectWoman's Magazine, April 1951, priced one shilling and threepence. The front cover features a woman wearing a white crocheted blouse and holding a bunch of daffodils. There are instructions inside for readers to make this blouse. Contents also include Fiction, Articles, Service Features, and Fashion and Needlework.
An editorial note in the contents page indicates that "paper difficulties have now compelled the suspension of Woman's Magazine so that every effort can be concentrated on Boy's Own Paper, Heiress (the new name given to Girls' Own Paper in December, 1947) and Playways, all designed to inspire a new generation with the high ideals that have always been associated with their names in the past. Woman's Magazine must fade out of the picture for theh time being, but the tradition goes on."
