About this objectLarge banner on grey backing material and with tabs for mounting/carrying on tops and sides, created by the Quaker Women's Group in January 1985. The banner is bordered with cross stitched panels listing alphabetically towns in the UK, from Ackworth to Wolverhampton. Inside this border are a second set of panels using a range of materials and techniques, featuring colourful motifs of peace and hope. Some of these bear slogans such as 'There will be womanly times we will not die' and 'Bringing the invisible into the Light'. In the middle of the banner are large white letters with cut-out centres making up the name 'QUAKER WOMEN'S GROUP'.
